ROLE
Art Director

Spotify is a global audio platform known for redefining how we experience music, podcasts, and audiobooks.

As an Art Director across their Global, Audiobooks, and Podcasts verticals, I led visual direction on a range of campaigns — from studio shoots and talent content capture to stylized, narrative-driven social assets. My work spanned styling, set design, and post-production, crafting visuals that aligned with Spotify’s editorial tone while engaging platform-native audiences.

Spotify Global

As Spotify introduced a refreshed visual identity, I helped implement the new look across core editorial content, including weekly charts, artist highlights, and marquee series. I also worked on campaigns that showcased signature features like Daylist, translating product value into engaging, culturally relevant creative. My role focused on design refinement and visual execution, ensuring consistency across touchpoints while keeping the content platform-native and globally adaptable.

Spotify Audiobooks

Author Moodboard

Spotify wanted an asset that would bring audiences closer to the authors behind their favorite audiobooks. I pitched the concept of a lived-in, desktop-style moodboard — an immersive visual that looked like we were peeking into the creative mind of the writer. I art directed the scene to feel warm, personal, and slightly chaotic in the best way, blending notes, props, and textures. The final asset became one of the highest-performing posts of the week.

two can play

To promote Ali Hazelwood’s Spotify-exclusive audiobook Two Can Play, we wanted to activate her passionate fan base. I pitched an 8-bit visual direction inspired by retro gaming — a playful nod to the book’s video game developer protagonist.

From key art to social assets, I led the creative direction, balancing nostalgia with Ali’s established romantic comedy tone. The result: an interactive cover vote that drove strong engagement and delighted her fandom.

content capture with drew afualo

To celebrate the release of Drew Afualo’s audiobook, we developed content that leaned into her signature boldness and humor. I art directed the visual execution of the campaign, guiding lighting, framing, and overall tone to reflect Drew’s brand while ensuring production ran efficiently. The final content felt true to her voice and aligned with Spotify’s editorial style.

Spotify Podcasts

Working on Spotify Podcasts came with a unique challenge — building awareness that the platform was also a destination for podcasts. To meet that goal, we developed repeatable content formats that tapped into trending topics while staying rooted in Spotify’s brand identity. I led the art direction for a suite of modular templates designed for flexibility and scale, many of which were adopted across international markets.

Batman: Unburied

Content Capture

For Batman Unburied, Spotify asked us to concept and execute special Batman content. As a Batman fan, I was excited to bring my perspective to the project.

I ideated the videos around what I thought would be interesting as a Batman fan. I also helped direct the full look and feel of the video series, from lighting choices and camera angles to post-production shot selection.

My focus was on creating elevated, cinematic visuals that matched the dark, stylized tone of the podcast while keeping talent direction smooth and intentional.

Spotify Wrapped

I contributed to the design and art direction of social assets for Spotify Wrapped, focusing on how to spotlight top-performing podcasts and creators. Our goal was to highlight standout episodes and trends using bold charts, custom laurels, and platform-native visuals that celebrated the year in audio.
